With the spontaneous plan that was made when the classes got suspended and having so much time left to spare, I and my friends thought to go for a mini picnic in nearby Sikharchandi Hill. So, we got into our vehicles and just went straight to the hill with tiffin boxes already in our hands. When we started climbing up towards the hill, though a little steep but it was not that inclined to get to the top of the hill. We reached and first did worship the Goddess, roamed around, clicked some pictures, and settled down for having lunch.
With being full of food, we were just about to enter for the nap when in the winter time when the sun was all warm giving all the warmth that it has, the sunset was something so exciting to watch for and the whole view was just top of the world that day. We laughed, we ate and the whole sun was the witness of the spontaneous day filled with fun activity. We came around 5 P.M. with hearts filled with the most memorable moments included in our diaries!
According to legends, Lord Shri Ram, Lakshmana, and Goddess Sita stopped by this refuge during their Banabas. Maa Sikharchandi appeared when the Maa picture was drawn onto Lakshmana’s bow. Since that time, Lakshmanchandi and Maa Sikharchandi are both prayed for. King Patiya erected a temple at the peak of the hill.
